 Call for Papers

At ANZAM, Brisbane, there will be two kinds of paper presentation sessions: competitive sessions and interactive sessions. Original research papers, which may be theoretical, empirical, literature reviews, or case studies, aligned with the conference theme (Under new management: Innovating for sustainable and just futures), and/or ANZAM’s research streams/tracks, are invited.

Competitive Sessions (12 pages) – The most fully developed papers should be submitted for inclusion in competitive sessions. Competitive sessions consist of more formal and longer presentations, with individual paper presentations followed by a question and answer session for each paper.

Interactive Sessions (9 pages) – Interactive sessions are primarily designed for shorter manuscripts (in research note format) or work-in-progress pieces which could benefit from feedback from other participants and the session chair/discussant. They are held in a roundtable discussion format with shorter paper presentations so as to allow for more engaging interaction with other researchers with similar interests. These interactive sessions have the aim of providing more opportunity for discussion about the research presented and the themes that emerge with the session, and will be an excellent forum for gaining feedback from knowledgeable researchers in your field.

Note: page limits do not include references, tables/figures, cover page.

Please also note that submitting a manuscript as a competitive paper does not necessarily mean it will end up in a competitive session. Often times very good papers end up in an interactive session because of lack of space on the program or lack of fit with any of the existing competitive sessions.

Conference Papers should be prepared as a Microsoft Word document and conform to the editorial guidelines and formatting specified for ANZAM Conference Papers. Please refer to the ANZAM Conference Paper Style Guide and ensure you read the General Policies and Requirements section below before submitting your paper (www.anzamconference.org). All papers submitted for both competitive and interactive sessions will be subject to double blind review.
